We have a wide array of volunteer opportunities that can uniquely fit your giftings and passions while helping to aid the women and children of E.L.I.’s House.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Baby Help

    We currently have 2 babies in the program who cannot go to daycare just yet. To allow their mother to go to programming to get the support she needs, we are asking for baby help Monday-Thursday.

    Shifts are 9:30a-11:30a and 11:30a-1:30p.

  • Transportation

    We would love help in getting all of our E.L.I.'s House guest where they need to be each day: daycare, programming, school, extracurricular activities....

    Helping with transportation is a great way to get to know our guests and have intentional conversation!

  • Child Care

    We need child care help (for all E.L.I.s House kids) every Thursday night from 6p-9p. Other opportunities for child care may arise on other days/times during special events and trainings.

  • Provide a Meal

    If you don’t have time to serve in person, no worries! Another way to bless the women and children at E.L.I.’s House is by providing dinner.

  • Household Support

    If you get giddy thinking about cleaning and organization, this opportunity is for you!

    Sign-up to help up with household cleaning, projects, and overall organization to keep the house running smoothly.

  • Garden Support

    If you have a green thumb, then we need your help with our garden! Sign-up to come by and garden on your own or let us know if you would like the opportunity to teach our guests about gardening.

  • Respite Care

    While our goal and desire is to keep children with their mothers, due to varying situation, we occasionally need families that are willing to take in children that are currently in the E.L.I.’s House program for extended amounts of time.

  • Become a Mentor

    We desire to partner each of our moms with a personal mentor as a means for community and support outside of the house. Mentors are expected to meet with their mom twice a month.

  • STEP 1: CREATE YOUR VOMO PROFILE

    VOMO is our volunteer platform. By creating an account you are able to see and sign-up for all of our current service opportunities, receive service time reminders and track your volunteer hours.

  • STEP 2: FILL-OUT A BACKGROUND CHECK

    The protection of our moms and children is of utmost importance to us! This is why we require every volunteer ages 18+ to have a cleared background check before coming onto our campus. Once you create a VOMO account, one of our staff members will send you a link to complete your background check. Then, hang tight! It may take a few days for your check to clear.

  • STEP 3: PAY FOR THE BACKGROUND CHECK

    Because we are completely donor funded, we ask volunteers to cover the cost of their own background checks ($20). This allows us to put more money towards our residents and their needs. So thank you for your willingness to cover this cost!
